President Trump conveyed condolences late Sunday to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi over the “heinous” terrorist attacks on two Christian churches that killed at least 44 on Palm Sunday.
The White House said Mr. Trump condemned the attacks and expressed “his confidence in President al Sisi’s commitment to protect Christians and all Egyptians.”
Mr. Trump hosted Mr. el-Sissi at the White House last week in their first face-to-face meeting.
